Q: Where is Port Orford?

A: Port Orford is a small town on the Southern Oregon Coast.  Don't let our size fool you.  This is some of the most incredible country you may ever see.  Close to the California border and 3 hours Southwest of Eugene, it's easy to get here yet so hard to leave.  Cape Blanco Airport is nearby.  Guests of Wildland Properties will receive catered shuttle service and airplane hangar.  With pristine rivers that flow through vast beaches, untouched mountains, a massive variety or trees, hidden secrets and lore fill this land.  2 of the best fishing locations, located on the Elk and Sixes River are both within 10 minutes from the city.  The wide beaches are popular for surfers and fun for the avid agate hunter.  

Q: What activities are available:
 
A: There is much to do on the Oregon Coast.  Here's a few ideas: The new Nationally recognized scenic bike route; the famous Port Orford dolly dock, where boats are lifted by crane; diving (a new dive tank fill station is available); kayaking, paddle boarding and boating on Garrison Lake; fishing and gold panning on the Elk and Sixes river which offer trophy salmon and steelhead; edible mushroom hunting; hiking trails; historical sites such as the Cape Blanco Light House (still operational/seasonal tours), Historic Hughes House and the Coast Guard Museum; shipwrecks; Agriculture such as cranberry bogs, sheep and cattle ranches, logging; beach combing (agates, beach glass, glass floats, driftwood). 

Q: What is provided at the vacation home?

A: Each home has a fully stocked with a start-up supply of essentials to make your vacation stress free!
Kitchen: each kitchen offers pots, pans, dish-ware, dish soap, paper towels, a new sponge, trash bags, coffee, basic spices, flour and sugar. 
Bathroom: Each bathroom is stocked with towels, hand towels, wash cloths, toilet paper, shampoo and soap.
Bedroom: Each bedroom contains freshly laundered high-quality sheets, comforters and extra blankets.
Laundry Room: Most homes contain a laundry room.  Laundry soap and dryer sheets are provided.
Depending on the length of your stay and personal usage, you may need to purchase items at a local store.
 
Q: What time is check-in?
 
A: check in is at 4:00 p.m.
 
Q: What time is check-out?
 
A: Check out is at 11:00 a.m.
 
Q: Can I check-in early, or check-out late?
 
A: Yes you can, however it does remove other reservations from being able to check in on those dates, so there is a small fee.  Upon making your reservation, you have the option to make that arrangement.
 
Q: Are your houses pet friendly?
 
A: Most of our homes are pet friendly.  Each vacation home specifies whether it is pet friendly or not. One of our staff is happy to help assist you with reserving a property that is a good match.  (541) 366-2117 

Q: Are there restaurants or grocery stores nearby?

A: There is a local grocery store in town, a variety of restaurants, and a Saturday farmers market. Each home comes with a welcome book which gives a detailed list of restaurants and area attractions. 
 
Q: What is the cancellation policy?
 
A: You can cancel your reservation at any time.  However, if you cancel your reservation within 60 days of your arrival, we are unable to refund your reservation unless we can find a booking to take your place.
